Mr. Daugherty is TransPower’s Lead Design Consultant. In this part-time but important capacity, Mr. Daugherty assists TransPower in developing system designs that are functional, attractive, and energy-efficient. Mr. Daugherty has over 34 years of professional experience in environmental planning and design, as both an architect and landscape architect. He has been responsible for a variety of major land planning and architectural projects, valued in excess of $1.2 billion, worldwide. Special areas expertise include active / passive building system energy applications, on-site ‘smart’ water capture, treatment and reuse (including saline and toxic remediation) and productive landscape ecology. Mr. Daugherty has taught design at the University of California at Davis and the New School of Architecture in San Diego, and was a featured speaker at the World Congress on Adventure Travel and Ecotourism in Manaus, Brazil. He has traveled extensively in South and Central America, Africa, Asia and Europe, studying indigenous architecture and land planning techniques. His commitment to community service is demonstrated in his active membership in local, state, national and international organizations.
