San Diego, CA – (June 14, 2012) – TransPower, an advanced clean energy technology company, announced today that it has been selected to receive a newly awarded competitive grant to build a minimum of two additional battery-electric drayage trucks that will operate at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Additionally, TransPower has received a funding commitment to build and demonstrate an Economical Electric School Bus (EESB) which will be operated by several school districts in San Diego County. The total value of these new funding commitments is approximately $1.3 million. Additional details on these new projects will be announced within the next several weeks.
